looks like a stainless steel panel that has been textured with a grinding tool and then buffed to a high luster.

Probably a bunch of swirl marks left by a grinding/sanding/buffing tool. Nevertheless, the image itself is way more intriguing than the subject.;-)

Martin, I am sure I have some pictures more interesting than this Martin. I am glad this helped you find them.

Hansen, Interesting comment. I too thought the image was more interesting than the object. I guess that is why I posted it for critique.

As long as it works so perfectly, does it matter what it is ? It is one of your photo, and one of your most impressive at that.
