GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted March 19, 2009 Thanks Mike....I've kind of grown attached to that little guy....in nearly every shot with a Bee....'he's' always walking away.....kinda like...."Hey...it's okay.....I was only here first..but you go right ahead....don't share your space....who am I anyways???...just a teensy, weensy....itsy, bitsy bug!!!. I'll have to find out just what 'species it is'...cos I only see it in the garden when it's around a bee ?? Hope all's going well for you, and work has slowed down some. Really been enjoying your images....Tasmania must be a really beautiful place. We finally got up to 15F yesterday.....but its a Mother Nature Scam....happens every year.....we get teased with this 'beauty weather" then we get dumped on again....Oh well.....we still have much to be thankful for. Cheers & tnks for dropping a 'line'...Gail Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted March 19, 2009 Thank you Bianca and Diego.....I'm blushing.....actually with my ever increasing 'need' to see signs of Spring......I came along this beautiful 'sunshiny' photo...I live along the shores of Lake Ontario @45 min to Toronto....Adult Lifestyle Community...over 80 clubs, free Golf, 2 Tennis courts, Spa, 2 outdoor pools....list goes on, and on.....this was taken just outside of our just enlarged Rec Centre. The gardens are beautiful. The day of exposure was so marvelously sunny......the blooms were at a 'peak'...so just the 'bees' & me...plus this little 'polk a dotted' fella spent a few hours enjoying a day to be 'blessed with'. One thing I must remember when taking photos.....I tend to tell myself "oh...I can always come back another day and take more".... could not be 'dumber'......these MARVELOUS days do not always repeat themselves....so lingering longer would have been sure to have paid off. I'll get the 'picture' some day!!! Thankyou so much for your input.....does my heart good! Link to comment
dandem 1 Posted March 19, 2009 Real nice capture, Gail. Like the inclusion of the bug on the right. Well done, my dear. Regards, Lawrence,. Link to comment
escapephotoart 0 Posted March 19, 2009 good job....the reason we do macro (or some of us), to get what other's are not seeing. nice background, nice lighting Link to comment

setsail728 15 Posted March 20, 2009 Great shot! Great timing. Methinks the little guy subscribed to Shakespeare's philosophy of discretion being the better part of valor, and beat a hasty retreat when the potently armed bee arrived!!! Smart little bug, that one!! Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted March 20, 2009 Well....jeeze...guys! I feel like the little guy, beating the hasty retreat....'me's blushing'....nah....I love a great comment as well as the next one....I think I should name 'that bug'...any ideals????? thanks again...your are all truly fine gentlemen....cheers....Gail Link to comment
