Jack McRitchie 150 Posted March 17, 2009 Kind of humorous. She looks a little like an Indian woman in a sari and you've pictured her in front of a big namburger. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 17, 2009 Thanks, she is indian....I wanted to call it" between the burger and chips"....;-)) but it is obvious.... the funny and interesting thing is that she has chosen her seating spote near a western advertising......... two cultures so different... Link to comment
davidorea 0 Posted March 17, 2009 Beautiful and quite original capture, Pnina. Her expression is unique. Excellent colors, details, BG and DOF. Congrats! Link to comment
mugglee 0 Posted March 17, 2009 The has a sense of worlds colliding. They don't seem to go together, eh? She's cute. I like her shy smile and the colors in the b/g. Hope you're doing well, Pnina. Link to comment
tibig 0 Posted March 17, 2009 The smile is captivating and yes, there is a mild contrast in the picture that makes me think of the double aspect of globalization - the world filled by hamburger places and on the other hand no places left where ethnic people seem out of place.Regards, Tibi Link to comment

cherlyn 1 Posted March 18, 2009 Did she pose esp for you with her cheerful welcoming smile? The hamburger behind her is a great bg for her that adds humour. Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted March 18, 2009 A nice portrait that could stand alone on it's own merit, but the addition of the giant hamburger and fries adds that perfect touch of humor befitting of her big smile. :) Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 18, 2009 Jeff, it is east and west....very common here.... David, thanks for all your feedback, glad you liked it. Geof. Thanks, in the Middle East, east and west are present.... Tibi , You live here you well know the situation.....;-)) Gunnar, TM,, Lawrence, Marjorie, Mehmet, Alex, Jef, and Alec ,Thanks for your impressions. Cherlyn, no, she was not posing for me,there was another photographer .... It is a very photographic place. The BG and her seating there made a good juxtaposition.... Tim, thanks, yes aside from the two juxtaposed cultures, it has a sense of humor.... Link to comment

gordonjb 10,860 Posted March 19, 2009 I will venture to guess that what this women would cook for her family at home, would be much tastier and healthier than what is portrayed behind her. I like the the shy smile you have captured, her demeanor adds a sense of warmth and humanity , which juxtaposes nicely with the generic sterility of the backdrop. A nice slice of daily life. pnital 36 Posted March 19, 2009 Mario , Rueda and Meir, thanks for your nice feedback. Gord, you made me smile, and I'm sure you are right, she will cook much better and healthier... She probably was not aware of the juxtaposition , her and the BG she has chosen to seat near.... Was good for me....;-)) Link to comment
