Protester Girl Street Portrait

EXIF data shows that I used the following settings: ISO 800, +⅓ stop exposure compensation.The camera was hand-held.
Since the "original" JPEG has some kind of color cast and weak contrast (probably due to direct sunlight hitting the filter at an unfortunate angle and me not having the lens hood extended), I used the UFRaw RAW converter to generate this image. My digital darkroom skills are virtually nonexistant, so this is the best I could come up with. Nevertheless, I like the "modern", abstract-ish look -- and while I did not do anything out of the ordinary or area-specific alterations, I can hardly claim that this is an unmanipulated image. And the picture is cropped a tiny little bit.
