Margo_Wade11664880111 0 Posted March 17, 2009 Hi Andreas, I like the composition of this image and there seems to be a good rapport between photographer and subject. The effect is spoilt, however, by the poor depth of field. It would have worked much better for me, I think, if the eyes had been equally sharp. Kind regards, Margo. Link to comment
andreas fischer 0 Posted March 17, 2009 sharpness on both eyes would have worked too but completely different in this caseits meant to be so short in depth Link to comment
alones 2 Posted March 17, 2009 I love the way her curls go out of the frame on the right side . It would be better both eyes were in focus Link to comment
andreas fischer 0 Posted March 17, 2009 "It would be better both eyes were in focus " No! But why do you think so? Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 30, 2009 Before I read the other comments I felt also that I would like this photo better if both eyes were focused. I wasn't going to comment because it is probably a personal thing. But since you asked the question it made me pause and wonder why I would like it better if both were focused. I think it is because not only is that eye in focus but so is the mouth to a certain extent. I guess that since the mouth is somewhat focused, my eye wants to see both eyes focused or somewhat focused. Conversally, if the left eye was the only thing focused I would probably be comfortable too. But the sharp hair around the left eye breaks that. this is all conjecture of course since i am imagining what the photo would look like with various parts sharp. And a great part of my opinion has to do with "comfort" which may not be your intent at all. Thanks for asking why cause it makes one think a bit. Link to comment
