kentw 0 Posted March 18, 2009 Hi Tm -- I like this photo very much. To have captured just the right moment must have required great patience, observation and anticipation. I think you placed the egret just right in the frame, your image is sharp, and the reflection only contributes to the action. I hope sometime to be able to accomplish as much. I have admired many of your photos on this site, but this is the first I have commented on. I generally do not rate images, since I do not think rating is very helpful educationally, Warm regards, kent wilson Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted March 18, 2009 Hi Kent, for what it's worth I have a paid membership with Photo.net and think most of the photos here are beautiful as well as professional. However, I post a lot on Photosig.com (as a free member) and learn a lot more there since that site is a critique site and I got a lot of good, informative critique there and have been improving myself mostly because of that site. I post to 3,4 different site and I sincerely believe that Photosig.com is very much the prime factor in my improvement. Don't get me wrong though, I've learnt on all sites from all comments (neg. or pos.) but I know for a fact which one I learnt the most from. Happy Shooting Kent! Btw, this is a 'chummed' smelt that I brought along (not that it make thing easier, it only helps with locating the animal on the right side of the light somewhat). Also, I only had a C in my phylosophy class when I was in College :-) Link to comment
kentw 0 Posted March 18, 2009 Hi Tm -- Thanks for the recommendation of photosig.com. I'll check it out. And I agree that most of the photos on this site are very well done; most are better than mine. And you may have only gotten a C in philosophy, but I would definitely give you an A+ in photography! I'm sure that you will keep the beautiful images coming. I really enjoy seeing your work Warm regards, kent Link to comment
