arjen van de merwe 0 Posted March 16, 2009 Good find, good sky (red filter?) I feel the mood would be even more enhanced if the shadow side of the truck would not get so much fill light. Did you use fill flash, or a reflector or something? Was there a white wall near? I cannot see it, really. Link to comment
elportebonheur 0 Posted March 16, 2009 A b/w composition with a lot of impact. Perfect choice of tonality. Compliments Chuck! Link to comment

dejansmaic 0 Posted March 16, 2009 Chuck, I am trying to figure out where you took this shot! Anyways, very sharp, nice contrast between the hood & fender and the field. I like the tones. The only other comment would be the details in the shadows are a little lost, but still visible. Great job with this B&W image! Dejan Link to comment
color 3 Posted March 16, 2009 Thank you all for your comments. Arjen.... I shot this in color, no filters except UV. I did some dodging in the shadows to bring out more detail and converted the color to b&w in Photoshop. I didn't use any artificial light or reflections. To me the dodging gave the image better balance and made it more interesting. Dejan.... I took this yesterday near Keota, Colorado. I believe it was on state highway 14. It was near the Pawnee Buttes, which is a cool place, worth a visit. Link to comment
corbin 0 Posted March 16, 2009 Beautiful B&W image, deep tones, very luminous, great exposure. It looks like it's got quite a few miles left in it (unlike GM). Link to comment
lizweisiger 0 Posted March 24, 2009 Great image, Chuck. I love the sense of space around this fine old truck. Where DO you find these places? Link to comment
