Innocent Expectations....

I really liked his expressions - especially his eyes & mouth - conveying

some innocent hopes or expectations.

This is fantastic!!! Wow. The lighting is perfect. Is it natural lighting? She is stunning. What a wonderful little model. Oh, and those eyes. I could get lost for days in them. I am sorry, I do not understand the low ratings on this.

...for your encouraging feedback/comments. Yes, the light is all natural (it was taken next to large French windows whose refelctions can be seen in his eyes).

 

Just a small note: This "model" is my 11 month old son (I guess you might have got confused with the ear-rings to think that it's a girl - in our custom, little boys also get their ears pierced!)

 

On the low ratings - I've suffered these 3s & 4s on many of my photos that have got 6s & 7s. And unfortunately, for someone like me who wants to learn & improve my technique, these anonymous raters of 3s & 4s don't even show the courtesy of entering their rationale/reasons for their low ratings! I guess I should just learn to ignore them!

Woops, sorry about calling such a handsome little fellow a girl! My son, back years ago always had long hair, so I do understand. And actually, he had his ear pierced before I had mine done!

 

I agree, I do wish people would explain the threes and fours. Are they afraid of hurting feelings? Surely, just leaving numbers without comments is more hurtful.

 

I hope to see many more photos of this wonderful model. By the way, this is in my favorite folder.
