I'm beginning to suspect you're working up to publishing a book on domestic birds. If so this would fit right in. You're very good at this.

Ton, it is always good to hear from you. I appreciate your kind comment about this shot. I have no desire to publish a book, simply because that involves work and my primary interest is fun. I might enter some of my recent work in a local photo contest, but just working to get everything to gel, so that I can be personally satisfied with my work, is a challenge and makes this all worthwhile. I want to understand my camera and the lenses, so that I can extract the best performance possible from my current equipment. These images represent my attempts at that goal. I know that you are very exacting and critical, so to have you to talk with and comment on this is quite satisfying for me.

 

Lawrence, I had a Sam Adams with dinner last night and thought about you:-) Dinner was with a friend who is an 82 yo retired army officer who is still shooting film and doing some very nice work.
