Mike: Good composition, the DOF is right on, but I think the lantern could be a little sharper. Over this is a good image. Tom

I am guessing from the shooting data that you were trying for a shallow dof and soft effect. I think that the contrast between sharp and soft would be more effective if there were just a little more dof so that the detail faded behind the marker. The background shapes, colors and textures add a lot of interest. I really like the way the rounded shape of the shrubbery echoes the dome of the marker....very nicely composed.

So nice to know there is some beautiful green gardens somewhere....and especially in Australia...Great DOF, color and I find teh Lantern in the foreground quite nice the way it is....very nice composition Mike. Hope you had an enjoyable weekend....Gail
