Wide Angle View of the Milky Way

wmhoodphoto

45 minute exposure on hypersensitized Fuji 400 film with a Mamiya 1000S camera and 80mm lens at f/5.6. This was "piggybacked" to a Takahashi refractor which was simultaneously capturing a close up of the same area in the constellation of Cygnus.

This is a "wide angle" view (80mm lens) captured at the same time as

my previous post, Gamma Cygni Region, which is centered in this photo.

My system setup can be seen in my portfolio.

Thanks for all your kind words. They are truly appreciated. My Spanish is very rusty but I hope you get the idea!

Simply wonderful. I can easily get caught up in images such as this...just looking around and around...wondering what it must be like out there somewhere. I sense a silence so loud that it would hurt the eardrums...and a peaceful solitude unlike anything we can comprehend. 7/7 Regards

Wow! I am in awe. The stars you've captured so vividly is amazing, as is the colour. Incredible. I like that you composed it diagonally. Brilliant
