Holger, thanks very much for your kind comments. One of the reasons why you won't see many photos like this is that this kind of cloud formation only takes place in certain mountaineous regions of this world. This image was shot in Patagonia near the Andes mountains. Another location where I've seen stacked lenticular clouds was mountaineous South Georgia, not an area where many people/photographers go.
