The only reason I uploaded this picture is because I spent ages photographing this zip. (Strange! I know!)

Feedback appreciated.

It's a great zipper. Is it really colored like that or did you add the color? I feel like it is leaning a bit to the left, and that bothers me. Having the top open is fine (preferable), but it's the whole thing leaning that is nagging at me. I like the concept. Nice work.

Thanks for the comment. I wasn't sure if this would receive any comments. Even the 3 / 3 raters seem to have stayed away... for a while at least.

The zip is as you see it. It was for this reason and only this reason I photographed it. As for the lean. You are correct. In truth these things are rarely absolutely perpindicular. However, your point is no less valid.

Lots of things...including those things covered by zippers...are rarely absolutely perpendicular. And photographers often spend hours photographing things that

other people might not consider worthy of being the subject of a photograph. So you're not alone in that respect.

I like this one simply because it's different.

You say you were spending much time on this photo and that it is perhaps a little strange .... But that is exactly why I get stuck for some photos and think they give something, just because they maybe are a bit strange.... The interesting thing with shoots like your is that I can study them a long time and try to figure out what the photographer was thinking when he shoot this and why... This was a long story... well well... The shoot is interesting and quiet good i think... So keep on being a little bit strange =).

Jim, I like your comment as it encourages me to photograph more unusual things. Watch this space as they say and thanks a lot.

Jill, Thanks for the lengthy comment. I should point out to you that I rarely (if ever) think and that I am more than a little strange but thanks for thinking I might think and that I am only a little strange.
