Guest Guest Posted April 14, 2009 Michael, If there is no explanation from the photographer as to the purpose of the photograph (how it is supposed to be used (hung by subject or family - photographer's or model's portfolio - stock - magazine - etc.) I will critique it as if the subject wanted a personal portrait. Good skin tone - very sharp focus - nice catch lights - I assume you wanted the shadow of the girl on the wall to balance the weight of the picture on the wall (I can see no other reason for it) - Because of the strangeness of the pose I assume (again) that you wanted the lighting coming from the girl's left (therefore, from under her nose which does not flatter the girl). Again, because of the strange pose I will assume you wanted the picture on the wall crooked - strange outfit for indoors, but this is a strange portrait. If this girl is into "artsy" things, I can see this displayed in her home or place of work with other "unusual" photographs. Mark Link to comment
