rarmstrong 0 Posted March 9, 2009 This is really part of my ongoing experiment with the Nikkor 80-400 mm VR zoom, which seems to have the best IQ at f8, pulled back from 400. Comments appreciated, thank you! Link to comment
wogears 186 Posted March 9, 2009 Another squirrel picture I have to admit I like. All squirrels must die, of course. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted March 9, 2009 very good - I tend to use f8 myself on the 70-300. The white portion at the bottom is a little distracting but otherwise it is a fine shot. Link to comment
theflop 0 Posted March 9, 2009 A squirrel. Hmmm... I like photographing them because they are always in different cute poses. You have great focus and depth of field. Very sharp. The little guy, um, he is just like the little thieves stealing my nuts from my walnut trees. I must have 20 in my backyard!!!!! Great for shots like this! They will take food from your hand in days if you feed them, they are not shy. Good luck with more shots of the little guys! Thanks for posting! Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted March 9, 2009 Thank you Les, Tony and Michael! When I'm out trying to get shots of birds, these squirrels are ever present and provide some fun while the birds aren't around. The foreground is snow. The squirrel was sitting in a hole in the snow. Regards, Dick Link to comment
dandem 1 Posted March 9, 2009 Great shot of this cute little aniaml, Dicky. Well done, my friend. Regards, Lawrence Link to comment
JimCowan 0 Posted March 9, 2009 You have captured a bit of squirrel personality here. I think when we see close up images of animals and birds it helps us to somehow 'identify' and in the end it helps them. Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted March 9, 2009 Thank you all very much! They are fun to watch and rarely stay still! Regards, Dick Link to comment
