stp 6 Posted March 9, 2009 Dieter, you live in such an incredible landscape. I imagine this photo without the shadow; I think that would add even more to the sense of space and scale. Link to comment
biskamp 1 Posted March 9, 2009 thanks stephen, for your comment. concerning the shadow this comes from a rocky mountain on the right and is certainly hard to avoid. i could perhaps have waited for the group to move on.but wouldn't you agree that th shadow together with the darker sand part ahead sort of gives some sort of natural frame? yngve_lundstr_m 0 Posted March 9, 2009 Very nice composition, the group of people helps to understand the size of the landscape. The sunlight seems to be shadowed in some parts of the image which i feel makes the image more beautiful. Link to comment
biskamp 1 Posted March 10, 2009 thanks for visiting and commenting. this landscape is found in southern algeria characterized by open spaces interspersed by rocky stretches and occasional dunes Link to comment
stp 6 Posted March 10, 2009 Dieter, you make a very good point about the shadow helping to keep the viewer's eye from dropping out the bottom. Natural framing elements are hard to come by and nice to have. Link to comment
