a toaster portrait in its natural environment...I really enjoy the smooth light (soft shadows) and simplicity...it feels feesh and funny to me Laurent...I like your out-of-the box thinking with this subect choice...

Excellent, Laurent and again a new approach. We gotta keep moving down those paths that branch off suddenly or everybody will figure us out and start trying to explain what we're all about. It's creative death to get pigeonholed and then find yourself fighting frantically to defend your little coop.

Thanks. Jack, I couldn't agree more. I hate doing the same thing twice. Or, at least, when I get the feeling that I'm through with a particular theme or idea, I just can't work on it any longer. I think I needed to get some desire back.

Gunnar, thanks for the compliment. It is a very nice thing to say, really. It is a very simple object, but it was there begging me for taking a picture of it in its working environment, so I couldn't resist giving it a try.

I really do think this is brilliant. It has a simplicity of line and function and a "cleaness" that makes your teeth hurt. And the dash of color middle right side is an exclamation point without equal. I fear I shall have to put this in the favorite folder.
