Spring is definitely on the move in the Central Valley. This area along the flanks of Bear Mountain has truly sprung in the last week. I chose this comp because of the lichen covered boulders, the drainage alongside the leaning dead oak and the trail leading off into the distance. The weather called for clear skies. I love it when they are dead wrong. It is so helpful in planning a photo shoot!

Fantastic colours again Mark, and i like the simplicity of the composition. This almost reminds me of the Yorkshire Dales.

Well done, Dave.

Thank you David, Marta, Gallego and Rueda. David, I have never been to England, Ireland or Scotland. I would love to go and shoot some of those pastoral scenes. Your photography, among a couple of others from abroad, is some of my favorite landscapes. It is quite a compliment, then, to have you compare this to the Yorkshire Dales. I think when our region is green and verdant (which is actually rare), it does compare to the landscapes from there. Thanks for the compliment!

Another excellent composition. Each of the elements of this image could stand alone but together they make a delicious piece of eye candy. Beautiful, Mark! Masterfully processed, your sky is amazing!

Fabulous - there are hints of spring in Montreal - but only a hint - my backyard is still all white with snow but much less than before. There is a hint of an 'S' shape which adds to my pleasure. HAPPY SHOOTING AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.
