This is just plain drop-dead gorgeous photography!!!! The lighting is beautiful. The detail, from the eyes to the feathers to the talons is unbelievable. The background color is fabulous. The entire color palette is very natural - and unusual. Your technique is superb... I usually don't carry on like this, but you have achieved a low light photo with the incredible luminous quality, life and perfect lighting, not to mention an interesting subject. My oh my... 10/10 and in my favorites!

Jody, as usual from you...an outstanding photograph, sharp, perfect exposure and compostion. Even the owl was cooperating with a good head turn. Did you shoot this on your Bushhawk?

I fully afree with Sandra.

Personally I would have liked you gave some more space at the right side for a better composition (in my point of view), and with this background it couldn't be very difficult. It would give im some space to look into.

For such a quality of shot, light, clarity and processing - realy - I'm very disapointed there is no larger view to appreciate it at his right value.

Congrats, ... Piet

Robert; yes this was shot using my bushhawk. The 400/5.6 is always mounted on the bushhawk unless I'm using my car as a blind.

To everyone, thanks much! This happened very quickly and I didn't have a chance to move my focus point to be able to get his tail fully in the shot. :(
