In this one, it feels like there's more here than meets the eye. Interesting use of hdr and to really nice effect.

Excellent perspective and compo. Sharp from corner to corner. Well bbalanced smooth light. Very pleasant mood, probably due to the monochrome tones. Summing up, an excellent and beautidul work. Regards.

I think this 'stronghold' has survived so long because any attackers would probably have suffered many ankle injuries trying to storm the place. Very nicely composed and rendered dark & gloomy, as old castles should be. You fooled me once with a manufactured sky & I suspect you are attempting to do it again. Not to say it isn't called for as the sky without the clouds would be bland & boring, plus the wispiness of them adds an appropriate spooky mood to the shot. Love the textures of the rocks that the back lighting helps to reveal. Nicely done! Best, LM.

Fabulous image - I know you have followed the rule of thirds but in this case the sky does not do much for me so I would crop it down to just above the castle top - just my personal tastes. best regards,

wonderful foreground detail.....perfect shades that lead our eye up to the 'stronghold'...so dark and mysterious...and the night sky is 'singing' her SONG.....a place of mystery, and many, many SECRETS.....I am sure....excellent Kevin!!(I must apologise I have not been to your Portfolio recently......have not idea why I have missed this wonderful images...but I promise to "make time' to explore once more. I am sure there are many surprises I have missed out on.....sincerely, Gail

Delightful mood, excellent tonality and DOF. The clouds in the back add a special mystery to the composition, it is like a dance of light.
