Nice shot.thanks for sharing. Hafez was the most celebrated Persian lyric poet and is often described as poet's poet. His Divan is to be found at the home of most Iranians who recite his poems by heart and use as proverb and saying to this day.( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hafez ) Best Regards HSP
GungaJim, Excellent composition.7/7anon.Regards.Janusz.
tomb view #2
Hamed, Thanks for your contribution to the discussion. I realized right after I posted that this is a photo of a pavillion adjacent to the tomb rather than the tomb itself. Here are a couple of images of the the tomb itself. GJ
Special feel Hello GungaJim. This image has a very special feeling to it. I can't quite put my finger on it. But seeing the people a distance back from the lens, just being who they are with no posing, encourages me to think of how distant we are from understanding their culture. Very nice lighting. p.s. you asked a question on my image "I HAVE TO DRAG HIM EVERYWHERE". If you don't mind returning to the image my answer is posted there. Regards.
Tomb of the Poet Hafez Iranians when they visit this tomb of the great Persian poet are very reverential.
