Thank you, Jean-Marc and Tim! I was browsing through some shots from a family reunion last Summer and this one caught my eye as something that might look good in black and white. Howard is a retired railroad man from Milwaukee. He's my wife's uncle.

I really like this portrait. I suspected he was a farmer until I read the comments. A friend of mine wrote a poem about the stoicism of Midwest farmers who medicate themselves with the penicillin they get from the vet for their animals. :) This photo reminds me of it.
