Interesting shot David! The red light, the reflections on the wet floor, the motion of the legs and the verticality of the composition are very well done. Kind regards, Luis

Kind words Luis. I think I liked this when I took it. That said, I had consumed rather a lot of alcohol when I did take it. Hand held for 1/8th second at 4 a.m. (You get the idea!)

This one does a really good job of capturing that familiar feeling of going home in the wee hours after the bars have closed. The title could apply to the photographer, or the girl, or to both. The neon reflecting in the wet street plus the motion of the girl walking really works here. We don't need to see the girl's face or even any more of her...she could be any girl and every girl. She could be the girl we follow out of the bar thinking, "Maybe, just maybe..."

What I'm trying to say here is that this is an excellent slice of life shot and the sense of reality is really strong.

Jim, This was taken with the 'snapshot' camera I mentioned on your picture of 'The Chief.' When I took it I thought I liked it. It could be a lot sharper but as I mentioned earlier 1/8th second hand held in full wine makes me think it is OK. Your comment made me smile. This was taken in one of the busiest drinking areas in Hong Kong. This was the first time I had seen it so empty and if I didn't have my 'snapshot' camera with me, I would not have been able to take it. I appreciate your comment. It sums up how I felt about the image. I will post the orignal crop later... I think it is better.

Janusz, Thanks a lot! I am glad you like it.

Jim said:"...this is an excellent slice of life shot and the sense of reality is really strong..."

I agree. But, reality or fantasy, who knows.

Anyway I should remarks his concept: a strong sense of a very well known fact. This image represents what I remember about a back home path full of alcohol following a wonderful pair of legs.

Yap, what a misogynous, a true woman is much more than simply a beautiful pair of legs. But this is my nature. nothing to do. Your shot reflects the story of my life. (-))

David, looking at it from my side, it looks a very sad story. It looks more like going home after working in the streets.

Her hand movement like correcting her skirt, the blurred shoes.... the only light in the street, her clothes in the rainy street, the red lights.....A slice of life, does not look a happy one.... but well executed

Carlos, An interesting comment. I think I would need to know more about your life to understand your comment but I do appreciate you taking the time.

Pnina, Another interesting comment. I guess if you knew where this was taken you might not feel so sad. I can see how the neons reflecting in the wet street can make you think this is the red light district. However, it is most certainly not. Thanks for the comment.
