Is this why I haven't seen you at BC shooting herons nesting? Really nice shot of a sandhill crane, good detail on the wing and neck. The head could bit a bit brighter. Was this from Bosque Del Apache in NM?

So many of your pictures are just astounding. I like the lighting very much, but the detail in the large view is incredible. Thanks for posting this!

Nice level point of view. I like the vignetting effect you added. I saw a few of these birds heading North as well this past weekend. It seems odd that something so large can actually fly. They make the goofiest noises in flight.
