fixcinater 0 Posted March 2, 2009 Thanks for viewing, hope you enjoy. I'm here to learn, so any helpful critiques or honest opinions would be much appreciated. I shot this in the shade, there was a big white wall for reflected light. Is the crop distracting? I sometimes think this should be looser but sometimes I like it as is. Link to comment
pfranklin 0 Posted March 2, 2009 A tender moment and I like it as it is, I too am new at these type of shoots. I like the DoF, tones and the expression on their faces. Thank you for sharing. Best regards, Pamela Link to comment
jerrymat 3 Posted March 5, 2009 The romantic effect is profound. It might be stronger if their eyes were placed lower in the frame. Here they are crowded up against the upper frame line. One of the classical compositional rules, is called the rule of thirds and it would not take much difference in camera placement to put their two eyes in the strong diagonal positions given by the rule. Greater depth of field would make the image sharper. If you prefer the softness then perhaps the female face should be the softer. The white blouse is quite contrasty with their skin tones and tends to draw the eyes away from their faces. Perhaps a darker garment would be better or even bare shoulders. Link to comment
