Whao what a great photo from you Leslie. Excellent in everything. There´s so much drama and action in this. Man against nature so to speak. You must really take good care now after I have seen the inviroment you are taking your photographs in. Great job! Best regards from Jannica

Leslie... Wow, this makes our little dusting of snow look like a day at the beach. Excellent capture of the frigid conditions and the climbing action... Mike

Tis a nice image. If I had to critique it would be this. Next time, move the subject off-center a bit. Very often when a moving subject is photographed (this guy is obviously moving up) it's nice to give the subject somewhere to go within the image.

It's a good exposure in spite of the high contrast scene.

Hi Leslie, that's a great documentary. Was is dangerous to take this photo? Were you hanging on the other rope? Cheers, Vadim

Thank you all very much for taking the time to view and comment, as always your comments are appreciated and valued! :)

Cynthia is was very cold and took a good 15 minutes when back in the car to warm my hands......brrrrrrrrrrr

Vadim - I was not on the other end of the rope but was offered an opportunity to give it a try......I declined and chose to observe! :)

Best regards to all!

HI again, Leslie,

this is a great shot. I love the downward trend of the ice, the diaganal line and the splash of orange on the climber. Nice one!

Leslie,

this is a rare scene for us in warmer climate. Well captured detail in the difficult ice. Your presentation intensifies the effort.
