I find this image very interesting, I can assume that it is very likely to be overlooked as it does not copy the style of the processed images that tend to do well on this site. It is strangely haunting and has a classic feel that I can't put my finger on. I am still unsure if this is wonderful or not but marked it 7/7 from my immediate response. I feel that you need to further your compositional and technical skills but keep going whatever.

 

 

Thanks for your rating, I do get overlooked alot except for a few who sense what I am trying to communicate, which is fine, I would rather have the attention come from the artists and galleries who get to see the final print. When it comes to the technical I have been told by many photographers and photohraphy professors that I make a better artist than an actual photographer. My images reley heavily on symbols to be interperted by the veiwer, if you are interested, notice the wooden cross left outside the shed and the shadow of her husband cast on her body, these are two of the more subtle things one may miss at first glance. It has its own meaning to me of course but I enjoy it most when someone finds something of meaning to them in one of my images.

I didn't have to look up the biblical reference to know I liked this picture very much. I saw the shadow but didn't understand the reference until you explained. These detail just add dimension to what is already a compelling picture.
