The eyes are beautiful, beguiling, suspicious and vigilant ... a focal point. Her portrait -- symbolic of many aspects of Israel. I like the tones. Really quite a lovely portrait of vulnerability and strength.

Thank you Donna. I tried to wait to get her to look at me but did not happen. If she would look at me I think would be better. I do not know if she was just unaware or ignoring me. Attaching the first of two shots. Would like an opinion on your preference.

 

 

I'm sure I prefer the second (the big one): the eyes are the focal point but also the arm's position gives more dinamism. Nice capture.

I like this photo and I do not think it would be better if she were looking at you. I like the idea conveyed here that she is busy and engaged in what she is doing, and does not have time to look at the camera.

I do not know how (except lot of people crowding me), but she was not aware of me; hence not looking at me. Later I gave her a copy and she was very surprised. Thank you for commenting.
