This is my first shot with a Toyo 8x10--got the camera very cheap,

now teaching myself how to use it. Developed and contact printed in

my rudimentary home darkroom. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

As someone who has used an 8 x 10 camera I admire you very much for taking up the 8 x 10, but remind you that the rules for 8 x 10 are basically the same as the rules for all other formats. while some background unsharpness is acceptible in portraiture, this seems too unsharp.

moreover, the lighting is terribly terribly flat.

The best thing about it is that the subject is a great looking kid!!
