Fantastic work, Dicky. I thoroughly enjoy the way you capture your bird shots. Thanks for sharing such great art. Awesome work, my friend. Regards, Lawrence.

Well, when I asked my most honest critiquer about the first version of

this image(my wife), she said..."I like the bird, but you have to get rid of

that awful white spot!" So, here is the second version after spot

remover:-) Thanks for any comments!

I like your commentary 'my most honest critiquer' You did a nice job of blurring, something I need to work on and I like your crop. I think your image would benefit with a little more contrast. The amount of contrast and saturation a person uses seems to be pretty subjective though.

They tend to be right more often than not.... unfortunately! But, in this case, I agree with your wife. Honestly, the white spot didn't bother me until I saw this version, and it is much better... Mike

Thank you all for the kind comments!

When I showed my wife this version, she said..."looks like a quick job of cloning!" with a little grin on her face! She was right again, of course!

Monte, the amount of contrast and saturation that I do in post-processing is always a tough call. I think it is mostly related to the difference in monitors. I work at home on a new 24" iMac which has a very crisp, bright monitor. Things always look a bit different to me on my 19" Acer monitor at work.

Have a good day, all!

Dick

Your wife is right, that brightness was a little distraction. It's hard to get good photography of birds, is not a model who poses as the photographer wish. Congratulations. Best wishes. Vicente.
