rascal64 9 Posted February 24, 2009 Yes...I know this idea has been done to death...but this is my first attempt. Link to comment
dandem 1 Posted February 25, 2009 It's a very successful attempt, Tiff. The silouetts are perfect and the blue/green tone is strong. Very well done. Awesome work, my friend. Regards, Lawrence. Link to comment
cjtj50 0 Posted February 26, 2009 Your first attempt is just as important for all to view wether it has been done before or not. I agree with Lawrence and the tones compliment each other. Very nice. Thank you for sharing your first it's very good. Take care Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 28, 2009 I like that your presentation of what you feel is something you've seen before seems to have an individual stamp. The two things I notice that are effective is that the whole thing has the feeling of a film strip and the white of the camera screen on the left has a distinctive role, even though it's dwarfed a bit by the rest of the shot. First of all, it echos what you are doing, so there's a bit of self reference to the photo. Secondly, the white offsets the blue-green nicely and gives this a contemporary feel. You maintained a little depth so that not each person is a complete silhouette and, although these photos seem to be generally compressed in terms of depth, this has a bit of dimension to it. rascal64 9 Posted February 28, 2009 Lawrence...Cynthia and Fred..Thank you so much for the support. Fred..I am glad that you noticed the camera. There was actually a moment where 4 cameras were going off. I tried to capture that...but people quickly moved out of my way ..thinking that I wanted a clear shot of the critters. I wanted to shout..."No No...Please...everyone crowd around the sealions!". I had a different format in mind with these 3 individual shots...but they seemed to line up so effortlessly...I left it. It gave a nice panoramic look and if you didn't know better...you might think that it was one shot. Anyway...bla bla bla...I am just having a blast with the new camera. Thanks again for looking. MichaelChang 12 Posted March 4, 2009 Nice job, Tiff. It may have been done to death by others but I haven't done it yet, so I envy you. When I do it some day, these people will be wearing earbuds and carry iPods so I can sell the picture to Apple. Watcha think? :-) Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted March 4, 2009 And a good one tiffany, that it was done before? many photos were done before so what... it depends on the result, and the camera on the L is a very nice addition to this triptych. It is nice as well that each part is a bit different( the human being and the fish), good colors, timing, and nicely composed. Link to comment
doug_gentry 0 Posted March 8, 2009 Well done! I like your title as well! Regards, Doug. Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted March 9, 2009 Gracious thanks to you Senol, Michael, Pnina, Doug and Hamed. Because I am not a street photographer, I don't always see that "other way", so this was fun. I felt that I had to qualify it because whenever I post something that is not an original concept, it gets dissed. I would like to do more like this though. Link to comment
