Interesting. I know what you mean. Even if you could achieve what you wanted with the other medium, it makes much more sense to do it the simpler way. I would find it difficult to take this photo with film. The easiest way would be to set the ISO of a digital camera to the ISO of your film and then experiment until you achieved what you wanted on the screen. Then you could replicate the settings on the film camera.
Thank you for commenting! I am glad You like the colors. However, they are giving you an idea of how it looks like – but there is always a compromise between the film and the digital capture. The film is more realistic regarding to the colors. On the other hand the digital gives you possibility to take more easily photos like this - but does not allow you to come close enough to the reality even with the postprocessing. Well, then again that might take some more time to learn the skills on that front. Sometimes the film and scanning are giving you the best results. I try to combine both in the neverending learning process☺. BR Hannu
pretty the colours are inspiring.
Thank You! That is good idea and in order to be able to compare the results you would have to have at least two film camera bodies with - say such films which could take the "pushing" for example 1600 and 3200 :) Luckily I have two Contax AX bodies and a good wide angle so one "Starry night I will make the test":) Thanx again - let's see what turns out.
