aeg 0 Posted February 23, 2009 Since Paulo asked I thought I would give some pat answer, and then I realized that there is no main subject, no focal point to draw the eye in. My reason for this shot was simply to capture the environment and mood I was experiencing at the time of this shoot. Anyone familiar with snowfall in a setting like this knows how sound deadens in the presence of a snow storm. I think it was the smell of the falling snow and the utter silence of the moment that fired my imagination and I tried to capture this with the camera. It was more about moment and atmosphere. So if I failed to convey this experience and joy with you I am sorry. If you have any suggestions as to better convey this message then please share them with me.I will appreciate any thoughts you care to share with me. All the best. Link to comment
kathughes 0 Posted March 3, 2009 as do i. i grew up in the frigid north (michigan) and i know the "silence" of which you speak. it is almost eerie how the familiar landscape with its inherent sounds seems to disappear as snow blankets it. this shot reminds me of many a walk i took with my camera on snowy days. i now live in the south, and although i do NOT miss the frigid temperatures, i do miss the snow. thanks for your commennt on my vatican spiral stairs. kat Link to comment
