You're really establishing a fine collection of birding images Richard, do you have any heavy migratory spots near you? I can't wait to see what you come up with during the spring migrations. I might rent me a bigger lens for the occasion. Have a great night!

Good to hear from you, Tim! I have been feeding the birds in my backyard to bring them in close. For this I managed to get about 12 feet away. I live 25 miles from the Seney National Wildlife Refuge and I hope to get there in the Spring for ducks, swans, geese and Sandhill Cranes. I'm sure there are more varieties of birds there. I also have a cabin on Squaw Lake in Marquette County. There are numerous Bald Eagles, Herons, Ospreys, Kingfishers and more there. My lens is OK, but I'd really like to have the Nikkor 500 mm f4 VRII($8000). So, we'll see what's in store as the weather improves. Shooting photos of birds is great fun, but can be frustrating. This is one of about 10 decent shots out of 160 today.

Best regards,

Dick

Very nice shot.

I keep talking myself out of upgrading my camera body and investing more in lenses instead. LOL
