blueviews 0 Posted July 7, 2002 Let me know (and please rate) this chive blossom. Lit by a single quartz bulb from the left against a black seamless background. Thanks Bill Link to comment
dead fish 0 Posted July 7, 2002 If you ask me, I don't find it very good. I don't want to be harsh, but I think the picture lacks some idea other than a bent flower in a very "sharp" (direct?) light hat does not go very well with the black background. Sure, the result is relatively interesting, but that is not yet a good photo. I would consider either filling the frame with something else, or changing the composition so the flower itself takes more space and has more interesting details (perhaps try a different flower or soften the light a bit). mark_jacobs1 0 Posted July 7, 2002 I think it's a good idea. The best part of it is the stem. The flower looks like it's highlights are blown. I think it is begging for either cropping this one or reshooting with a composition that better fills the frame. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 8, 2002 I think this shot is absolutely gorgeous. I love the composition, and the lighting just compliments the flower's shape. It seems as though the light is pulling the flower toward it or the flower is moving toward the light. Which one is it? :) I adore your work and am pleased to see that mine has interested you as well. Thank you Link to comment
davidweaverphoto 3 Posted December 26, 2003 And you have done this one very well. You might inspire me to do some studio flower shots. Your other shots of flowers are all above average. Link to comment
