mugglee 0 Posted February 19, 2009 Ha! B.C., you took some abuse to grab this shot. Well done! I like that the dog is even shocked by his master's behavior. Nice work, man. Link to comment

cdebrier 0 Posted February 19, 2009 A first glance I would have said: "Why did you post this picture? The man looks like he does not really agree...". But finally, why not, it makes a powerful picture at the end. Nice shot, otherwise I would have expected the dog and the guy to be inside the frame. Link to comment
bronx 0 Posted February 19, 2009 I think he is using his ring finger not the bird but I think he want to use the bird but couldn’t, he don't look happy to see you. Nice capture. Link to comment

t37traveler 0 Posted February 19, 2009 B.C.- At first I thought to myself, "This man really does not want to have his picture taken." Then I thought, maybe he doesn't realize that he is actually posing for the camera and giving everyone his outlook on life. I wonder what he would think if he knew his picture was being viewed around the world! (He would probably love being angry about it and give each viewer the finger individually.) Whether or not he used his middle finger or ring finger, it's pretty obvious what he is communicating, and I don't think it's, "Someone stole my ring." This picture makes me laugh and shake my head; I have met so many people like him, but they were wearing suits and ties and fancy watches!!! It's too bad that the man is not a little closer to his pile of stuff and the dog. It would make a little better composition, but obviously you had to take what you could get; he was not about to cooperate! : ) You should get a 7 for perseverance! Link to comment
corkman 0 Posted February 19, 2009 The composition and framing couldn't be better with the dog creating a line of sight from one corner of the frame leading up to the finger in the other corner. As for the ring finger, this guy is pissed at the world...probably using the ring finger just because everybody else uses the middle finger. Being a contrarian fits his style. Link to comment
dougbrill 0 Posted February 19, 2009 I like the image. The guys reaction is a show of real, raw emotion. Rare to capture this and when it is captured (Happiness, Sadness, Sorrow, Anger) it almost always makes for a great image. But at the same time I am conflicted. If someone really does not want their image taken, it seems they should be respected. Are we willing to sacrifice other's feelings for a photo? Where is the line? I am not saying that I would not take the picture, I am just posing my dilemma. Link to comment

copcu 0 Posted February 20, 2009 Dear Friends , I would like to thank each and everyone for their visit , kind remarks and ratings. Like most of you I had a dilemma too regarding the state of his mind about being photographed and uploading on PN . I took this photo 7 Sept 2006 and did not share it since that date for these reasons but since than I had an injury with the same finger but on the other hand :) and nearly came to the point of losing the finger and the hand which kept me away from taking pictures for a long time hence being away from PN. Thank God none of that happened except a slight use of the finger . So when I was going thru my library and saw the shot , it made me think ... My thoughts were , life is so funny and his use of the ring finger rather then the middle one and the coincidence just made me post it. But then again I think the dog makes the shot rather then him :))) Thank you again ... Link to comment
