dallalb 0 Posted February 19, 2009 A year later I returned to the location when I shot "Cold Avenue": there was the snow and the ice over the trees again, but not the fog... Now you can see what is "Cold Avenue": a beautiful road that leads to a white, small countryside church.Thank you if you would spend a little time to watch this photo and leave me a sincere comment or a critique to help me growing as a photographer. glaucodattini 0 Posted February 19, 2009 Un luogo molto suggestivo. Ottima composizione e prospettiva. Ciao (7/7 a.) Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted February 19, 2009 The touch of pastel colours works well together with the almost black and white parts. Well composed (and perspective-corrected I suppose). No suggestions for improvement from me. Best regards. Peter Link to comment
dallalb 0 Posted February 19, 2009 Thank you Peter. I did not correct the perspective in post processing. I simply kept the shooting point of view low near the ground and used a focal length of about 50 mm. Alberto. Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted February 19, 2009 The focal length explains it. I often shoot wide angle and there, perspective correction is often necessary for having such perfect parallel lines at the edges. Link to comment

tommiller 1 Posted February 20, 2009 I like it, and I like Cold Avenue, too. The colors are quite pleasing - I'm reminded that a bit of a color cast can sometimes be a good thing. Thanks for sharing. Regards, Tom Link to comment
shirkwolfe 0 Posted February 20, 2009 I was going to suggest making it black and white since the green of the road isn't the strongest part of the composition, but I see others like it this way. Nice photo either way. Link to comment
jeff.grant 0 Posted February 21, 2009 I would leave this just as it is. The composition is excellent, and the colours and toning are beautiful. The composition where the eye is lead down the road to discover the church to the side works very well. Without the church, it would be a much weaker image, IMHO. Link to comment
