jerrymat 3 Posted May 7, 2009 What I like about this - I am reminded of the biblical Eve. She is looking at Adam's bite marks on the fruit. Her face shows her feelings; she controls her man and she is prideful of this control. Her waist is draped signifying she has already left the garden, aware of her previous nakedness. She is in the world at large but is not unhappy with her fate. She is proud of her femininity and self esteem. What I would change were it mine - the dark spaces at both sides are in a state of imbalance. The space on the left should be larger than the one on the right - here they seem backward. Another way of saying this is that she needs more space in the direction she is facing. I did take the opportunity to put this in my list of favorites. Regards, Jerry Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted May 7, 2009 You nailed it...on intent and result. I hope to play with this theme in the future. I had a vague idea of what I wanted before meeting this woman. When I saw her, I was delighted...perfect Eve! I gave her a little bit of direction for regarding the apple but ultimately her look was hers and it seems to work for you. The space issue that you mentioned is an easy fix. If I ever need this shot printed or exhibited, I will apply your suggestion. I am delighted that you enjoy the image. May all your shots be hero!
