jerrymat 5 Posted February 17, 2009 Nice colors and good idea to give more space to the foreground elements. Perhaps you have noticed that the really compelling part of this image is the two middle rows which can clearly be seen to march off into the distance - the side rows sort of jam up and hide their row-like spacing. Just as an experiment, try cropping this into a vertical image by cutting off both sides in a 2 to 3 ratioed format - do you see how much more dynamic the image becomes? Link to comment

whydangle 0 Posted February 17, 2009 Thanks Ali, Jerry and Leslie. Yes, Jerry, I see how that crop would change the impact. Still, I am really fond of the landscape version. Unfortunately, the compression makes the rest of the image block up, whereas the native res image reveals all of the detail, even along each side. In fact, there are other similar patterns going outward, just not as obvious. I suspect I will go back and try the vertical as opposed to a crop version. Thanks for your insight! Link to comment
