gsphotoguy 3 Posted February 12, 2009 This is a very interesting collection of shapes, natural and man-made. I particularly like the almost matching curves of the model and the background. The contrast of her skin against the background also works well. The direct view of her pubic area creates an interesting tension. Link to comment
giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted February 12, 2009 Great b/w and sense of composition and balance. thank you for sharing, G. Link to comment
yves_p 0 Posted February 14, 2009 I like the idea but I would suggest a slightly different crop. Cheers. Yves P. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted February 16, 2009 I am always humbled by the comments I receive on my images. Taking the time to alter an image and show me how you would have liked to see it is very much appreciated. I do love your crop. Thanks a lot. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 16, 2009 Such a range of tones in such a relatively small space...one of your best black and whites for just that reason. As far as composition goes, I think you nailed it here...like the way her navel is in line with the top fret on the lute. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted February 17, 2009 Kind words Jim. I think I have said it before. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good. Link to comment
phil390 0 Posted February 28, 2009 very simple but well executed ! I like the original crop. Phil w Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted February 28, 2009 Thanks Phil. Most of the things I do in life are simple. I am glad you like the original crop but I do think it is always good to see alternatives. Link to comment
ricardo lago 0 Posted June 13, 2009 I like the lines and the soft and hard of it. BW certainly adds to the image. Perhaps the lines on the left could have continued up and out of the frame but they don't detract as they are. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted June 14, 2009 Thanks a lot! I did think of continuing the lines of both subjects. The reason I didn't was that the instrument was just too big and I felt the composition would suffer. Link to comment
Apurva Madia 0 Posted August 28, 2009 Very innovative and original. Technically very sound. The BW Tones are so good, the hair follicles on the pelvic part stand out and gives this a sensual edge. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted August 29, 2009 Thanks a lot for the comment. This is an image I like myself for the reasons that you have mentioned. Link to comment
