Chatham Light, Chatham, Massachusetts

A beautiful February morning, crisp and cold, Chatham light was a

sight to behold.

Excellent landscape, like the compo, mood, colours. Beauty in simplicity.

... something a bit different than normal, but wonderful fun over the weekend.

Don't know if I ever mentioned it, but I spent fours years in the U.S. Coast Guard (1973-1977), and I definitely have a soft-spot for the Coast Guard lighthouses around the nation. I have visited this small station several times when I lived on the Cape (Orleans) after I got out of the USCG in 1977. Great shot and well done! ... but then you know the fascination for these structures. Such a perfect day on Saturday for shooting white on white against blue, with the clouds seeming to stream from the structure itself. Glad you liked the shot, great to hear from you.

I'm sure this will reawaken great memories of the Cape for Pnina. I like those little cape houses in the background, their white trimmed windows looking on.
