beartooth1 0 Posted February 6, 2009 Tim, I like this one so much better than the other...be assured it's just taste...the other is nice but I really like the tones and shadows in this image....Now a bit of dark vignette might pull the eye right to the center of the image.... Just a thought. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted February 6, 2009 Tim.... Excellent! I like everything about this one, the composition, the tones, and detail. While the previous version is nice and has a wonderful nostalgic look, this is my favorite.... Good shot... Mike Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted February 7, 2009 I'm really happy with how this one turned out. There was a really nice tree to the left that was in the original crop, but unfortunately a modern building was in the background behind it. Ken - I might play around with that, thanks for the suggestion! Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted February 7, 2009 I like this version the best, Tim. This has such a nice punch, great shadows and composition. Very nice! Best regards, Dick Link to comment
jeffl7 0 Posted February 7, 2009 Gorgeous tones. An absolute stunner. We just bought a 1845 farmhouse to restore (a little less rustic than this one). I gravitate toward these buildings with some age on them. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted February 7, 2009 Very beautiful corner , there are so many details to observe, the old farm house , vegetation as a "frame" ,and the play of light and shadows are very rich, with diverse contrasts and shapes .Looks a great area to observe even more.. Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted February 8, 2009 indeed a good photo. I also like that traingel in your foreground which works rather effectively in this composition. I think however if you look close at it you'll find that the snow looks a bit greyish something that with a little curving can easily be corrected without loosing any detail. Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted February 8, 2009 Thanks for the comments, it's great to see all of your names here! Ton - I'm always timid about going to far with my whites, especially snow, because I'm afraid of losing that texture. It just seem to go flat, even if I anchor the whites in curves. I'll mess around with a copy and see what happens, because I've heard that point before with my snow shots. Thanks! Link to comment
