I found this image in someone's Favorites folder. It is superb in all respects but especially in the exposure. The detail is outstanding. When you post this for critiques, I'll come back to rate with 7's!

Fabulous shot. The freezing of the water splash and the classic fish image really add to this great bird image.

the splashes ,eyes , & action make this an excellent Image , Very well done ! I mightve given a little more room on either side if you had the room , but over all a true prize for both the bird and photographer !

Now boys, let's not bicker.... Nice shot Nate, I would be tempted to selectively mess with the brightness on various parts. And I will repeat my stand on the silliness involved in "ratings". Isn't it far more helpful to suggest ideas instead of giving back-pats and .... kisses?

Not to use Nate's page as a forum, but yes Monte, being an old fart, you know how that is .... I sometimes might forget to check the little "critique only" box . For all; should another senior moment cause a lapse of attention in the future, please do not bother to rate any of my pictures. But, I would appreciate any and all thoughts on improving the image. Thanks. Again, nice shot Nate, the lighting under and over the wings with the detail shows the power of that 400 5.6 I would prefer just a bit less of a crop. I think a few little tweaks in PS could make it a calendar shot.
