A small dark figure in a pool of light and a small spot of light in an ocean of darkness. Very intriguing! I really love the alignment and symmetry of the view through the doorway.

For me this photograph is about contrasts, contrast of architectural styles, contrast of light and dark, contrast in size of structures.... and man to structure... it shows scale very well and as the viewer I get a sense of being surrounded by all this beauty.
