What an incredibly beautiful photo. There are many places I would like to visit in Scotland and you've just added this to my list. Wonderful treatment and colour. My only suggestion would be to darken the sky a bit, but it's only a suggestion and far from necessary. Great work

Here it is, this special glowing effect that gives a romantic mood to the picture. How do you create that?

There are a lot of ways to create a 'glow' on digital files. I usually start by duplicating the image layer. Then I add a Gaussian Blur (between five and ten pixels), and change the layer blend mode to Soft Light. This heavily blocks the shadows, so I use the Blend If sliders to pull the effect back in the shadow areas. I also use some selective saturation and desaturation to get the effect I saw when I took the picture.

I applied but my image looked even less sharper given the fact that it wasn't totally sharp. Anyway, my digital images aren't sharp like yours.
