markbalcom 0 Posted February 6, 2009 Nice tonal range despite difficult light, and both dramatic and fun. I'm guessing it was just natural light and thinking that the hiker could have had some fill lighting to even out the exposure. Is the variation in sky tone the result of a polarizing filter? Or was the sky darkened by clouds or other natural effect? I'm reconnecting with the pnet community after a busy stretch. Glad to see you're still at it. Mark Link to comment
bogdan_nicolescu 8 Posted February 7, 2009 Hello Mark good to see you're back on line and thanks for your comments. Indeed the light was pretty difficult at the time I took this shot, minutes before sunset with pretty dense patches of clouds towards the sun, on the left of the photo. I had a PL filter on but I think the uneven sky tonality might also be partially natural. The amount of gear I can take in my field trips is pretty much limited so I don't normally carry a flash with me... Link to comment
