Not a true pano, I have cropped top and bottom to simplify the composition. This was a

file that took some coaxing. As a result, the integrity of the pixels was compromised,

so a conversion was the best option. This is one of those that I feel needs to be re-

shot, but for now, I present this version. Thanks for looking and a Larger preview is

available!

I like the sunburst Mark! It looks like you have mastered the ND grad; can't see any artifacts from its use and that is hard to do. Would a slightly darker mid or foreground be more in keeping with the low angle of the sun? Just a thought. Good job! Regards.

Thanks Walter. You are very certainly correct. I have replaced the image with a modified version, I darkened about a stop, then masked the original density in a circular area from the starburst to the river. I can't thank you enough for the suggestion. I have attached the modification until the newer version uploads.

actually I don't agree on the beauty of that sunburst because it distracts from what is already a impressive landscape and in that sense I find it overly dramatic. You were right to go a bit darker but I fear you may not have gone far enough. If you're going to do a reshoot loose any sunburst. It's simply not needed. I would prefer to see a bit more texture in that foreground rock though. As it is it seems a bit soft.

Thanks Vladut, Daniel and Ton. I say a re-shoot as if that is a likely thing when it is probably not. Maybe next summer. If I could, it would be under better lighting I hope. The sunburst was actually intentional because of what I thought was a lackluster image. The b&w conversion strengthened the composition it seems. Ton, lets face it, the sunburst is what is commanding the oohs and aahs, but I get your drift. It probably does not fit in a b&w image to be taken seriously.
