mike_stemberg 40 Posted February 2, 2009 Crikey! if it weren't for some of those square-ish shaped formations which might make me pause for a while I could place this scene somewhere in the Himalayas or South America, China or anywhere except in the 'Grand Canyon'! Astounding!PS. I am also at a complete loss as to how I might want to rate this ... Link to comment
hh253 0 Posted February 2, 2009 I can tell you a long story about this photo. It was always my wish to visit the Grand Canyon. Once I got there for two days I was desperated, because it was cloudy and raining. When I left there was also a thunderstorm. Before leaving I stopped once more to have a last view and the thunderstorm has stopped and the sun was coming out. It was incredible, the scenery was changing every second. this photo is one of a long serie of photos taken in few minutes.i can ensure you it is the Grand CanyonHeinz Link to comment
arnab123 0 Posted February 3, 2009 Hi, Nice snap but is the top portion required. I think it will be better if you crop it from the top. There's also some noise, is it ISO problem or you purposely reduced the resolution? Link to comment
hh253 0 Posted February 3, 2009 thanks for your comments. The grain is coming from the Iso and I think it makes everything soft. I think you are right cropping the sky the attention is more on the lines and on hte reflection of the river. Heinz Link to comment
