ldavidson 4 Posted February 4, 2009 Thank you all so much for stopping and leaving comments, I appreciate it. The kind of beauty that we see here in the mountains in winter almost makes up for the road conditions, slush, and freezing cold temperatures. All the best. Link to comment
brillb 0 Posted February 5, 2009 Hi Linda...Hope you aren't too cold. I am ready for spring. My water heater froze last night. Anyway, I love this image...another moody snow scene. I love the color of the sky against the blue green of the pine trees. Have you used metallic papers yet for processing? I am having a lab called Nations do work for me and I love it. I had used it in the past, but my lab had gotten too expensive. You can Google them. Becky Link to comment
soniam 6 Posted February 6, 2009 Just like in the story books. the thin clouds are incredibly beautiful and I love the glowing effect of the snow. Brilliant work! Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted February 6, 2009 Mary, it's good to hear from you, thanks for commenting. Hi Becky! OMG! A frozen water heater sounds horrible. That says COLD! We had some spring like weather the past few days. It makes our world much more cheerful. We live in an unusually warm part of Canada, but we've had a worse than usual winter this year. This photo was taken on our yearly drive to Calgary through the Rocky Mountains. The mountains are always beautiful, in all types of weather. I haven't tried the metalic papers. I will google them. Thanks for the tip. Lester, thanks for commenting. It's good to hear from you. Sonia, thank you so much. I love that you think this has a storybook quality. All the best. Link to comment

yannik_hay 1 Posted November 28, 2009 Hi Linda, talking about a winner, this one of yours is as well! A beautiful composition and a magical feel about this wonderful snowy night under a glowing sky. I really like it! Right in my favourites! All the best! Link to comment
Yves Petronin 42 Posted February 12, 2010 Magnificent image, so powerful because of its apparent simplicity and unity of tones....The picture would be further enhanced by a border, as the bottom side tends to be lost in the background....Certainly a matter of taste.... Link to comment
