Ecovillage at Ithaca is a community of 160 people, including about 60

children, living in an environmentally-sustainable way on 175 acres of

land overlooking the upstate New York city. Two clusters of 30 homes

each provide car-free settings for children at play and neighbors who

meet on the surrounding paths. Ecovillage at Ithaca is one of the
